SUBMISSIONS OF ABSTRACTS FOR GELYDA 2025

Submissions concerning any aspects of Extended Education, Youth Development and Wellbeing but other related topics are most welcome. 

LANGUAGES

Papers and presentations should be in English.

WRITING THE ABSTRACT 

The abstract should include the following:

  • Max 500 words 
  • Please describe the aim of the project, theoretical framework, the research questions, methodology, the main findings, and the conclusion
Abstract submission deadline is November 15th 2024 

PRESENTATION FORMATS

There are four different presentation formats.  

Posters

This format provides presenters the opportunity to present and discuss their completed or ongoing research projects and/or practioner projects. We plan interactive poster sessions where authors present and discuss their respective projects with conference participants.

For research projects please describe the theoretical framework, the research questions, the research methodology, and the results (the expected results). For practitioner projects please describe aim of project, theoretical approach, methodology and the project outcomes.

Workshop

A workshop is an interactive session of 90 minutes, where participants take an active part. It should be designed to engage participants through discussions, collaborative exercises and/or hands-on activities. It should provide practical knowledge and skills relevant to the conference theme, facilitated by experts in the field. The workshop should encourage networking, idea exchange, and problem-solving among attendees, both practitioners and academics.

Paper  A paper abstract should provide a concise summary of the research objectives, methodology, key findings, and conclusions. It should highlight the study’s significance and relevance to the field, offering a clear and engaging overview that entices readers to delve into the full paper .For paper presentation, the allotted time depends on how many papers are in each session. 

Symposium

A symposium is a 90-minute session coordinated by a group, presenting their work around a specific topic, fostering in-depth discussions and knowledge sharing. It should include Q&A sessions and opportunities for networking, allowing participants to engage and gain insights into the latest research and developments in the field.

Note that in the submission form, you need to submit each abstract individually and write the name of the symposium for each one.

Symposium proposals are submitted by an organizer who may or may not be a chair, presenter, or discussant. A symposium can include a maximum of five participants in addition to the chair. Participants include all presenters and any discussants.
